Dr. Michael Rice

Patients know Dr. Rice for careful attention to detail, a passion for prevention, and the time he takes to listen and explain clearly. He earned his DDS from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, and has built his career around a simple belief: advanced technology only matters when it serves the person in the chair.

His training runs deep, especially in implant dentistry. Dr. Rice completed advanced implantology training through Loma Linda University, along with specialized education in CEREC same-day crown technology, Cone Beam CT 3D imaging, and laser dentistry using the Solea CO₂ laser. He has achieved Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and Associate Fellowship with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).

He also completed a research program at New York University College of Dentistry, where his work studied the effects of sports drinks on teeth, an experience that shaped his commitment to helping patients prevent decay before it starts. At our Smile Rejuvenation Implant Center, he leads implant care using robotic-guided placement for natural, lasting results.

Dr. Rice is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the Redwood Empire Dental Society.

Dr. Rice grew up in the Pacific Northwest as one of nine children, including an older brother who is also a dentist. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and developed a lasting love for camping and hiking. Today he enjoys coaching Little League and staying active in the Santa Rosa community alongside his family.
